HABITAT AND INDIGENOUS CULTURE PRESERVATION
In 1990 10,000 acres of sub-tropical forest rich in endangered species was to be sold off to logging companies.
£ 300,000 raised to stop the large-scale slash and burn destruction; Chip in for the trees. Buy an acre of forest for £30!
We design and instigate marketing campaign that sells off thousands of acres. The project starts from a phone in the bedroom, goes local, national, international. Many celebrities including Jeremy Irons and Sir Cliff Richard lend their support to the campaign. After two years we raise the money and buy the land and today the land is still safe, as a regional reserve.
